The modern world does not make it easy for people to engage in healthy lifestyles. The preponderance of unhealthy food options that include loads of sugars, fats and artificial ingredients is a major reason why many people are overweight, even if they do not eat portions of excessive size. Additionally, people are working more, and their schedules are becoming filled with activities that do not leave time for exercise or preparing proper meals. As a result, many people simply decide to go with the flow and eat the foods that are readily available, thus perpetuating the cycle of unhealthiness. Others dive into programs of exercise and healthy eating head-first only to become overwhelmed by the prospect of changing their lives so completely. Keep Reading

Butter can be one of the most difficult things to avoid when you are trying to lose weight. Butter is found in almost everything and finding an acceptable butter substitute can sometimes seem impossible. Although there is no doubt that butter is hard to replace, it is possible to cut the amount that you consume each day drastically. If you are serious about cutting this fat-laden dairy product from your diet, however, you will have to put in some effort. Most purchased baked goods contain either butter or a hydrogenated shortening that is even worse for your body. By reading labels and cooking for yourself, you may be able to cut butter from your life for good.

Every week we want to take a moment and profile one of our contributing authors. Today’s focus is Mr. Mark Williams. For the most part we have some questions we want to ask Mark but a little background may be helpful. Mark was born in Utah County in the beehive state of Utah. He’s always been an active guy, playing several sports in High School and continuing that today with his series on ‘Employee Weight Loss Challenges.’ Mark has been married for a few years and has 1 child, a little boy, with another on the way. He’s been working for Creative Bioscience for the past 3 months and really loves what he does.

My name is Mark and I work in our marketing division.  I love what I do, and continue to be impressed with the quality of products Creative Bioscience puts out, which makes my job easier.  I’ve found that over the years and as life happens that my activity level and stress have increased.  All the while time seems sparse and sitting at a desk all day has basically told my body’s metabolism to slow down.  These all sound like typical excuses or “stories” we tell ourselves, and what ends up happening is we start to believe our own stories and tell them over and over.  Each time we tell ourselves these stories they get stronger and more imprinted on us, and become a source of comfort for why we’re not in shape, eating good, and everything else we’d like to be.

It’s time to tell a new story.  Starting this week I’ve been taking two of our products in tandem along with an African Mango cleanse to begin.  The two products are the Green Coffee Bean 1234 pure extract, and the Raspberry Ketone 1234 product.  I take 2 capsules of the Green Coffee Bean 1234 pure extract in the morning with my breakfast and 2 of the Raspberry Ketone 1234 capsules with my dinner.  If you don’t pay attention to your body, it’s always difficult to notice change.  Much like drinking a soda might have an effect on your body and mood, if you don’t pay attention to those you wouldn’t ever know what’s happening in your body:

I bet you didn’t know all that was happening in your body when you take a sip of soda. The supplements I’m taking won’t have as fast of an effect as the soda can, but I will be documenting and changes I feel in my health. Along with taking the supplements, I’m eating better and trying exercise during the week. My goal is to get my body fat lower than it is now, and start to have a noticeable change in my body. So far I feel great and haven’t had any side effects other than not feeling as sluggish during the day at work.

I will be posting updates each week during my progress, and comparing them to the weeks past.  I’m starting at 185, and I’d like to get down to 170 by my 29th birthday on August 12th.  At the end of the day the pounds lost won’t be the only metric I’m using but also how I feel and how I look, as in the past I’ve seen my weight stay the same, but I had lost a lot of fat.  I don’t plan on weighing myself ever 2 hours, but more likely on a weekly basis.  Stay tuned for weekly updates and progress.
