OK, I’ve got more questions.
As I mentioned in January I’m half-way to my goal weight. I am thrilled with the assistance that hCG gave me and I’m practically desperate to get back to the protocol.
So, my main question is this – after 3 weeks of phase three do I absolutely have to do a whole 3 weeks of phase 4?
If I do less than the three weeks am I likely to plateau earlier?
And: I’ve read that one problem people have is not eating enough calories on phase three – is it more a question of what is eaten and less of how much of it?
I’m afraid I’m going to lose focus in this 6 week break from losing weight and throw away all my progress. Granted, 6 weeks in an approximately 3 month process to lose the weight that it took me 5 years to put on is awfully reasonable, but still…patience is not my virtue!
Thank you again for a great product and for the support~

Yes….you absolutely need to do AT LEAST 3 weeks of phase 3 (the regular protocol is a full 6 weeks) in order to have successful weight loss on subsequent diet rounds.

It’s important to eat the right foods AND enough calories on phase 3. The goal is to keep your weight the same; you should not try to lose more during this time. If you lose more than 2-3 pounds on phase 3 they need to increase your calories.

Hi Cyndi,
OK, I did three weeks of phase three and about one week of phase 4. I maintained my weight without too much difficulty.
I’m back on hcG1234 now and in 15 days have lost another 8.5 lbs, which feels like a good average. This all means that since January 4th I’ve lost 23 lbs! I’m still very happy with the progress, even when cookies are calling my name. I have to say, I don’t know where I’d be without all the amazing flavored teas out there.
I’m writing to encourage other people who have had a really hard time losing weight to give hcG1234 a try.
I’m now only 10 lbs away from my goal weight and have my fingers crossed that I can make it to my goal before having to give the hcG a break.
My question at this moment is this – this time through I started with just under 20lbs to lose – is 40 days on the hcG a good plan? Or do I really need to just do 23?
Thanks so much!

Autumn,

As you get closer to your goal weight you may find more resistance. I would plan on doing the full 40 days. If you get to 5 lbs below goal weight then I would reconsider then.
