How To Activate Lypolysis For Fat Burning?

by Gabriella Patel on May 10, 2017

Lypolysis is the process that breaks down fats into fatty acids. These are then transferred into the blood stream and to the body’s cells. Your body either burns these fatty acids as energy or they are stored in the body.

This fat burning process is the key to weight loss, so are there any ways to activate lypolysis?
Certain hormones, such as adrenaline (epinephrine) and noradrenaline (norepinephrine), stimulate lipolysis. When these hormones are released into the body, lipolysis starts, and the best way to release adrenaline and noradrenaline is exercise.
Regular exercise, and especially high intensity workouts, release adrenaline and noradreanline into the blood stream. Exercising also helps to improve blood flow, which is important for transporting fats to the cells where fatty acids are burned. Exercising and strength training also help to expand the capillaries, which is essential for better blood flow.
In the end the more muscle you have the more often lipolysis is activated. Some foods and supplements can also play a role in activating lipolysis: for example Omega-3 fats, either as supplements or from foods such as oily fish, can help.
