A Diet Journal Can Help You Lose Weight

by Wendy on January 25, 2017

If you’ve been counting calories, but you’re still not losing weight, it’s important to make sure that you not only understand the number of calories that you need, but that you are also not accidentally overlooking some calories. Losing weight requires setting realistic goals as well as accurately counting the calories you consume.

One way that you can accomplish this is by using a diet journal. When you write down everything you eat, you’ll be able to ensure that you are counting calories accurately and not accidentally forgetting about little snacks that can add up. Your diet journal is the ideal place to write down every bite you eat as well as everything you taste or drink.

When calories matter, you can’t overlook those little tastes and snacks that are sometimes consumed almost without realizing it. You can also use your diet journal to write down goals, fitness routines, or even how you are feeling. Sometimes boredom can lead to snacking and seeing this in your journal can help you realize that you need to find a more productive way to handle your emotions.
