Is 30 Night Diet Effective In Achieving Weight Loss

I’d heard some positive reports on 30 Night Diet which contains 5 HTP as a way to control hunger and help with weight loss and decided to give it a try. 5 HTP, sometimes called an oxitripan, is a naturally occurring amino acid that is a metabolic intermediate in the production of serotonin (a hormone that regulates mood).

30NightDietWhile it is used to treat major depression in some people, I’ve found that it is also a highly effective appetite suppressant and has been helpful to me as a dietary supplement to achieve weight loss.

In fact, many doctors believe that 5 HTP is one of the best natural appetite suppressants available. It occurs naturally in some plants, particularly the seeds of a West African shrub (Griffonia Simplificola), and as well as improving mood and curbing appetite it has also been found effective in the treatment of headaches and insomnia.

Before using it I checked out some of the medical studies that have been done. Many studies on the weight loss effects of 5 HTP have been undertaken over the past 30 years and clinical trials have demonstrated that it reduces the number of calories that a person consumes and thus results in significant weight loss in some people. This is because as serotonin levels increase in the brain a person’s hunger is reduced and they feel satisfied after eating less and do not need to artificially reduce their food intake. Certainly I found this to be the case and was eating much smaller portions than I usually would to sate my hunger.

One study compared people who had been given a 200mg dose of 5-HTP prior to eating with a group who had only received a placebo. The results showed that the group taking the substance ate over 1000 calories less than the placebo group and reported that they felt less hungry throughout the course of the day. Another study showed that women who had taken 5 HTP lost, on average, 10 pounds over 12 weeks while the placebo group lost, on average, only 2 pounds. There seems to be general agreement among researchers that it is particularly effective for people that have a constant craving for food, especially those that consume large amounts of carbohydrates. Certainly, in my own case I found that I was not craving snacks and did not need have my usual urge to eat between meals.

I personally have found 30 Night Diet to be really helpful in controlling my desire to eat outside of regular meal times and for losing weight.
